Lucy vs. Eisenhower

More Watched ‘I Love Lucy’ Episode Than Presidential Inauguration

Catchy Comedy Hosts ‘I Love Lucy’ Marathon May 11

Mural in Jamestown, New York, depicting a hilarious episode of the smash-hit “I Love Lucy” television show of the 1950s, starring Lucille Ball. In it, Lucy lands a job pitching Vitameatavegamin, a “health” tonic, on TV. But the elixir is high in alcohol content, and the befuddled housewife stumbles and slurs her way through the one-time chance at stardom. This and four other large murals feature Ms. Ball, a Jamestown native, who is buried there.
