Washed Linen: Etsy’s First-Ever Texture of the Year

Source: Etta’s Etceteras, vintage linen postcard, “The New Gatlinburg Inn, Gatlinburg, Tennessee.” Built in 1937, the hotel is still in operation. Famous past guests include Liberace, Dinah Shore and Lady Bird Johnson. Married songwriters Felice and Boudleaux Bryant wrote “Rocky Top” in Room 388. It became the fight song for University of Tennessee sports teams. (Displayed atop “Gatlinburg: Cinderella City” by Ed Trout and Debra Griffin, 1984.)
